It is sad when you can not only tell the theme but the plot of the entire film within 15 minutes. It is even sadder that the film is really only worth 30 minutes but is stretched to 100 minutes of mindless antics of a talented but often eccentric Johnny Depp. Unfortunately, he cannot save this one. This is a supremely boring and shallow film. Stephen King probably wrote this as a mood-piece and it never should have been adapted for film. This theme has been done so many times that it actually jumps at you and knocks you on the head.
