There was a New Yorker cartoon wondering how people wasted time before the Internet. Well, the question is already old. We now have to wonder how people wasted their time before the iPhone!

If you aren't using Quizup you really don't know a thing about wasting time efficiently and mastering your trivia skills! Quizup is a free app for the iPhone that allows you to compete with friends or strangers on quick, 7-question quizzes. There is an immense number of categories to compete on from art, movies, sports and pretty much anything else you can think of. It is a rather simple idea rather brilliantly executed. There doesn't seem to be a monetization angle yet but there are clear pathways to it. 

The user interface is polished and responsive and the interaction is fluid. You can login using Facebook without it posting anything on your timeline which is an extra plus.
