Don't Bother to Knock: Marilyn Monroe's excellent portrayal as a babysitter on the edge
The most charming thing about Marilyn Monroe could be that she could act. She was mostly asked to play caricatures that gently mocked her "blond" stereotype. However, in "Don't Bother to Knock", Marilyn shows us something quite different. She is plain but edgy and filled with ferocious intensity that elevates this otherwise below average film to a new level. You are on the edge of your seat rooting for your worst fears not to come true.
This is a must for any film-noir fans and Marilyn Monroe fans.
