35 Years ago, on October 17, 1979 VisiCorp introduced VisiCalc as the first Spreadsheet software in the World and heralded the dawn of the PC as a personal business computing device above and beyond its existence as a toy for hobbyists.

Spreadsheet was the world's first "Killer App". 

And no surprise - Apple was the platform for this revolution just like many others it would host in the future. Even Microsoft made their copycat Excel first on Macintosh and only released version 2.0 for Windows. 

It is hard to imagine life without a spreadsheet today in any modern workplace. And like most life altering concepts, it is essentially amazingly simple.
