Microsoft buys LinkedIn (and it makes complete sense)
If there ever was a corporate merger that made sense, this one it is. LinkedIn is all about work and Microsoft is all about work. This merger may actually make LinkedIn better. LinkedIn suddenly has no need to make money. It can quit hounding its users and become a "decent" company. Microsoft, armed with Yammer, Skype and LinkedIn now in addition to Office can make not only a formidable force, but more importantly: a benign one.
Given how Microsoft has been able to reinvigorate its Office product with excellent offerings via the Office 365 subscription line, I am really looking forward to what it can do on the work communication side.
Nadella is awesome.
