We went to Ikea first time with the baby and I am so impressed at how kid-friendly they are. Apart from the usual changing station they have microwaves and bottle warmers and even free bibs. Not that we would get from them but I even saw free diapers.

Speaking of food at Ikea, I often wonder how much of Ikea's success if because of their cheap and simple food. Cheap -- you can get a full meal for two for under $10 and simple -- the menu has a handful of items. The simplicity is important. Folks want to have fewer choices and easier choices -- meatballs and potatoes for all and mac & cheese for us vegetarians.

With the help of the restaurant Ikea is able to keep shoppers in the store for the better part of the day forcing them to shop more.
