Pelicans
On a recent trip to Sarasota, Florida the mother found a cruel way to exercise some control on her little one. The beach was full of big, mean-looking Pelicans. She told her little one that if she doesn't listen she'll have to live with the Pelicans in their little nests and eat worms. And by the way - the Pelicans don't eat Doritos!
That induced a welcome sense of panic and brought some calm and obedience on an otherwise wild trip. Hope there is no long term psychological damage. Pelicans are fine birds.
