And in the department of improbable good news: Afghanistan beats Bangladesh

It has been fun to watch Afghanistan play in the Asia cup. They lost with grace to Pakistan a couple days ago and have now beaten for the first time a cricket playing nation. 

This may be some of the best news to come out of that country in years. Can this lead to bigger things? I sure do hope so.
