Hauz Khas

We ended up at Hauz Khas by accident. Puja and Shikha wanted to shop nearby and I was just drawn by the old domes from a distance. It seemed serene with a bunch of folks taking afternoon naps, kids playing and some others just passing time. There were also a few tourists here and there. There was some curious play of light falling through tattered doors and windows on crusty old floors.

I was intrigued by everything. There is something about ruins that catches my attention. I guess I am constantly reminded of a simpler, yet more difficult times.

A 600-year old college would've probably had more tourist value in any country other than India. We take tourism very lightly and haven't quite yet fully realized its economic potential.
