Reading this blog post from Shawn, we decided to try out the Branch Brook Park in Newark. They have a Cherry Blossom Festival in the last few weeks of April every year. This park was a bit hard to find as it sits right in the middle of a busy Newark neighborhood. However, once we got there, we were blown away by the amazing Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom. Now Cherry Blossom Trees are a dime a dozen and all over the place around where we live so we had to see something spectacular in order to be amazed. It was spectacular alright. Giant trees raining down petals on us each time the window blew. Akshra was fascinated and so were we. Took over 500 photos, probably the most I've taken in a single outing.
