Get Low: A film strange enough to be based on a true story

Robert Duvall is Felix Bush, a man tormented by his past who decides to throw a funeral party -- his own -- before he is actually dead. That is the least strange part of this film. Get Low is a slow, leisurely walk through a man's life. A life that he lives as a punishment. An ask for forgiveness far more complete than any. Something Dostoyevskian about the mood. Except the crazy tongue-in-check. A beautiful oldness about it.

Get Low is the kind of Hollywood film that gets made only grudgingly. The story is fact-based, strangely enough. Lightly entertaining and yet a must-see.

Also, good to see Bill Murray shows up finally.
