The 11th book I read in 2024 was ‘All That Happiness Is’ by Adam Gopnik. In this enjoyable long essay, Gopnik posits that shifting focus from achievement to accomplishment is the path to happiness. This, of course, applies only to the realm of happiness as a byproduct of effort. In real life so much happiness isn’t related to effort at all but is mostly a function of awareness, relationships, and nature. That is not this book’s concern.
