The 21st and final book I read in 2023 was ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear. This was a rare self-help book that I enjoyed. James’s claim is that forming and keeping good habits and letting go of bad ones isn’t a matter of moral failure but that of lacking a practical habit management system. His system is to build scaffoldings to support and nudge us, toward that better version of self that we all so long for.
